Job Summary:

Piper Companies is seeking a Cable Technician to support a commercial infrastructure and technology installation project. This position is onsite in Red Oak, TX.

Responsibilities for the Cable Technician include:

• Assist with the installation, routing, and termination of low-voltage cabling and related infrastructure 

• Support equipment installations while maintaining quality, safety, and project standards 

• Read and interpret basic project drawings and work documentation 

• Perform cable testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution as needed 

• Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively in the field 

• Collaborate with project teams to complete installations on schedule 

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols

Required Qualifications for the Cable Technician include:

• 2+ years of experience in a cable technician, low-voltage, or telecommunications role 

• Experience with structured cabling installations and cable routing 

• Ability to read and follow project schematics and drawings 

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills 

• Must provide and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) 

• Experience with telecommunications, electrical work, or fiber optics is preferred 

• Ability to lift equipment and work in physically demanding environments

Compensation for the Cable Technician includes:

• Salary Range: $20 - $28 per hour based on experience, plus 10% night shift differential and significant overtime opportunities
