Junior Project Manager

Piper Companies is seeking a Junior Project Manager to support data center infrastructure projects throughout Northern Virginia. This is a hybrid opportunity combining onsite and remote responsibilities. The ideal candidate has hands-on data center experience and can support estimating, field operations, and project execution from planning through closeout.

Responsibilities of the Junior Project Manager:

• Support data center projects from planning through closeout.

• Assist with estimating, labor/material takeoffs, and scope reviews.

• Coordinate schedules, manpower, materials, and project documentation.

• Provide onsite support and oversee daily project activities.

• Lead field teams and ensure work is completed according to project requirements.

• Track project progress, risks, changes, and deliverables.

Qualifications of the Junior Project Manager:

• 3+ years of direct data center project or field experience.

• Experience working inside active data center environments.

• Knowledge of structured cabling, fiber, copper, racks, cabinets, and related infrastructure.

• Experience with estimating, material takeoffs, or scope reviews.

• Ability to read drawings, BOMs, and project documentation.

• Experience leading technicians or field teams.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Compensation of the Junior Project Manager:

• Salary Range: $86,000 - $110,000 (based on experience) + Commission
