Cable Technician

Piper Companies is seeking a Cable Technician for a job site located in Red Oak, TX. Candidates must be comfortable working onsite 7 days a week with 12-hour shifts and an 84-hour workweek. The Cable Technician is to support project leads in installing terminating, and testing low-voltage systems across multiple technologies.

Responsibilities of Cable Technician

• Good with your hands and learn quickly
• Positive attitude and willing to learn
• Fiber and copper cabling
• Able to terminate cables, punch down jacks, and connect pre-terminated fiber
• Can read and follow cut sheets
• Builds and installs telecom room components (racks, ladder rack, grounding, bonding)

Qualifications for the Cable Technician

• Basic cable pulling or telecom experience preferred
• Can read and follow cut sheets
• Open to entry-level candidates with some telecom or hands-on experience
• OSHA 10 Construction or OSHA 30

Compensation for the Cable Technician include:

• $23-$28/hour
• Time-and-a-half after 40 hours
• Night Shift Differential: +10%
• Significant overtime available
