Senior Oracle Database Engineer (Development & Administration)

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Engineer (Development & Administration) to join a leading government technology organization supporting mission-critical data platforms for an onsite contract position based out of Fort Meade, MD. The Senior Oracle Database Engineer (Development & Administration) will be responsible for database development, production support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization within a highly secure enterprise environment.

Responsibilities of the Senior Oracle Database Engineer (Development & Administration) include:

· Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex database issues impacting application functionality and data processing.

· Design, enhance, and optimize SQL and PL/SQL code, including stored procedures, packages, functions, and automated jobs.

· Support data exchange processes and system integrations involving APIs, cloud services, batch processes, and enterprise applications.

· Perform performance tuning activities using execution plans, indexing strategies, and database diagnostic tools.

· Collaborate with infrastructure and database teams during deployments, upgrades, incident response, and recovery efforts.

Qualifications for the Senior Oracle Database Engineer (Development & Administration) include:

· 10+ years of experience developing and supporting enterprise Oracle database solutions.

· Advanced expertise with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, database optimization, and production troubleshooting.

· Experience supporting large-scale data integrations, ETL processes, and enterprise database environments.

· Active CompTIA Security+ certification.

· Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance.

Compensation for the Senior Oracle Database Engineer (Development & Administration):

Salary Range: $190,000-$240,000/year (USD)
