Sr. Storage Administrator / Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Storage Administrator / Engineer to join a government-focused technology team providing enterprise storage and backup support within a highly secure environment for a fully onsite contract position based out of Fort Meade, MD. The Sr. Storage Administrator / Engineer will oversee storage infrastructure, backup operations, SAN administration, and hardware lifecycle management.

Responsibilities of the Sr. Storage Administrator / Engineer include:

· Administer and monitor enterprise backup platforms to ensure successful data protection and recovery operations.

· Troubleshoot storage, backup appliance, and SAN-related issues across multiple technologies.

· Implement and configure new backup and storage solutions as business needs evolve.

· Coordinate maintenance and break-fix activities with vendors and internal support teams.

· Support cybersecurity initiatives including vulnerability remediation and compliance requirements.

Qualifications for the Sr. Storage Administrator / Engineer include:

· 10+ years of storage or systems administration experience.

· Experience supporting enterprise backup technologies such as NetBackup, Cohesity, Rubrik, or Commvault.

· Strong understanding of SAN administration, zoning, and storage infrastructure.

· Active Security+ CE certification or higher.

· Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance.

Compensation for the Sr. Storage Administrator / Engineer:

Salary Range: $175,000-$220,000/year (USD)
