Solaris & Linux System Administrator

Piper Companies is seeking a Solaris & Linux System Administrator to join a mission-focused technology environment supporting enterprise infrastructure, security, and storage operations for a fully onsite contract position based out of Fort Meade, MD. The Solaris & Linux System Administrator will maintain critical server environments while ensuring system reliability and compliance.

Responsibilities of the Solaris & Linux System Administrator include:

· Manage and support Solaris and Linux operating systems in a production environment.

· Administer enterprise backup and recovery solutions and storage technologies.

· Perform system patching, package management, and vulnerability remediation.

· Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and implement proactive system improvements.

· Maintain technical documentation and support compliance requirements.

Qualifications for the Solaris & Linux System Administrator include:

· 3+ years of Solaris administration experience.

· 3+ years of Linux systems administration experience.

· Experience supporting enterprise storage platforms and backup solutions.

· Knowledge of vulnerability management and system hardening best practices.

· Active CompTIA Security+ certification and TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance.

Compensation for the Solaris & Linux System Administrator:

Salary Range: $155,000-$195,000/year (USD)
