Enterprise Architect Consultant - Cloud Transformation

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking an Enterprise Architect Consultant – Cloud Transformation to support enterprise clients undergoing large-scale cloud modernization and digital transformation initiatives. This position is a full-time role that will be remote. As an Enterprise Architect Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in helping enterprise organizations align business objectives with technology strategy, develop transformation roadmaps, design cloud architectures, and guide implementation efforts from conception through delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Enterprise Transformation Strategy

• Partner with executive business leaders, technology leadership teams, and key stakeholders to understand business objectives, technical constraints, and transformation priorities.
• Conduct discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and requirements-gathering workshops.
• Translate business objectives into actionable enterprise technology strategies and transformation plans.
• Develop enterprise transformation roadmaps spanning applications, cloud platforms, infrastructure, governance, operations, and organizational change.
• Assist clients in evaluating business cases, implementation priorities, cost considerations, and organizational impacts.

Design Enterprise & Cloud Architectures

• Develop enterprise reference architectures that align business goals with technology solutions.
• Design architecture strategies that support clients' existing technology environments and future-state objectives.
• Define cloud migration, application modernization, and platform transformation strategies.
• Support the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and compliant cloud landing zones.
• Develop architectural roadmaps for enterprise application migration and onboarding initiatives.
• Continuously evolve architectural strategies as business requirements and technology landscapes change.

Lead Technical Implementation

• Remain actively engaged throughout implementation to ensure alignment between strategic architecture and delivered solutions.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, infrastructure, cloud, security, and DevOps teams.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural governance across transformation initiatives.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and technical challenges while driving successful project outcomes.

Own Senior Client Relationships

• Serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers and executive stakeholders.
• Present architecture recommendations and transformation strategies to C-suite executives and senior technology leaders.
• Facilitate executive briefings, architecture reviews, and technical workshops.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Navigate complex stakeholder environments and competing organizational priorities.
• Provide leadership across business, architecture, engineering, program management, security, and compliance teams.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, cloud architecture, infrastructure architecture, technology consulting, or related disciplines.
• Significant experience in a client-facing technology consulting environment.
• Demonstrated success leading enterprise architecture programs and large-scale cloud transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of modern cloud architecture, enterprise infrastructure, and digital transformation methodologies.
• Experience developing enterprise reference architectures and architecture governance frameworks.
• Experience with cloud migration, application modernization, and enterprise platform transformation initiatives.
• Ability to translate business objectives into technology strategies and implementation roadmaps.
• Experience working directly with engineering and delivery teams through implementation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional technology initiatives.
• Strong executive presence and experience presenting technical strategies to senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and consulting skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in complex enterprise environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with major cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar methodologies.
• Experience leading multi-year digital transformation engagements for enterprise customers.
• Cloud or enterprise architecture certifications preferred.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $180,000 - $250,000 for base salary, depending on experience. Merit based bonus opportunity.
