Site Reliability Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for a growing client in the technology industry located in the United States. The Site Reliability Engineer position is fully remote. The Site Reliability Engineer role is ideal for an experienced infrastructure engineer with deep expertise in Linux administration, Kubernetes platforms, cloud infrastructure, and infrastructure automation.

Responsibilities of the Site Reliability Engineer include:

• Build, administer, and optimize Kubernetes clusters across both on-premises data centers and AWS cloud environments.

• Investigate and resolve complex Linux operating system, networking, and performance-related issues in production environments.

• Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar automation tools.

• Develop monitoring, alerting, and reliability practices to improve system uptime and operational efficiency.

• Partner with development and platform teams to support deployments, scalability initiatives, and infrastructure enhancements.

Requirements of the Site Reliability Engineer include:

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Systems Engineering, or a related infrastructure role.

• Proven experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters in both on-premises and AWS environments.

• Strong Linux systems administration experience, including server provisioning, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.

• Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or comparable infrastructure automation tools.

• Familiarity with cloud-native technologies, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.

Compensation for the Site Reliability Engineer include:

• $120,000 - $150,000 annually
