Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for a client in the technology industry located in the United States. The Senior Site Reliability Engineer position is fully remote. The Senior Site Reliability Engineer role is ideal for a highly experienced infrastructure leader with a proven track record designing, building, and operating large-scale Kubernetes platforms across hybrid cloud environments.

Responsibilities of the Senior Site Reliability Engineer include:

• Architect and scale Kubernetes platforms supporting mission-critical applications across both on-premises and AWS environments.

• Establish platform engineering standards focused on reliability, automation, performance, and operational excellence.

• Drive infrastructure-as-code initiatives utilizing Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools to improve consistency and scalability.

• Lead root cause investigations for complex Linux, networking, and distributed systems issues while implementing long-term solutions.

• Provide technical mentorship to engineering teams and influence cloud infrastructure strategy and platform roadmaps.

Requirements of the Senior Site Reliability Engineer include:

• 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Engineering.

• Demonstrated success designing, building, and maintaining highly available Kubernetes platforms at enterprise scale.

• Expert-level Linux administration experience, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, automation, and systems optimization.

• Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.

• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, observability platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed systems.

Compensation for the Senior Site Reliability Engineer include:

• $150,000 - $180,000 annually
