Piper Companies is seeking a Quality Engineer to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organization for a three to six month contract opportunity located in Raleigh, NC. The Quality Engineer will support site quality and manufacturing operations by leading investigations, partnering with plant personnel, and helping drive timely resolution of quality events in a GMP-regulated environment.
Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer include:
- Lead and support investigations related to deviations, non-conformances, and quality events occurring within the manufacturing environment.
- Partner closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify root causes and develop effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Perform shop floor assessments and gather technical information needed to resolve complex quality issues.
- Review quality documentation and ensure investigation activities are completed in accordance with GMP requirements and internal procedures.
- Assist with remediation efforts tied to regulatory observations, audit findings, and quality system improvement initiatives.
Qualifications for the Quality Engineer include:
- 3+ years of experience in a quality engineering, quality assurance, or manufacturing support role within a regulated environment.
- Hands-on experience conducting investigations within a pharmaceutical, biologics, chemical, or related manufacturing facility.
- Strong understanding of GMP regulations, deviation management, root cause analysis, and CAPA processes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical findings to stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline preferred.
Compensation for the Quality Engineer:
- Pay Rate: $80-$95 an hour
- Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, sick leave if required by law, and 401K
