Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Technical Leader to join an established cloud technology organization for a full-time remote position. The Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Technical Leader will lead the development and reliability of secure Kubernetes-based platforms supporting highly regulated environments while driving automation, scalability, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities for the Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Technical Leader include:

· Lead the architecture, deployment, and support of enterprise Kubernetes environments handling critical workloads.

· Establish reliability standards through SLOs, SLIs, monitoring strategies, and proactive system improvements.

· Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment processes to streamline software delivery.

· Collaborate with security and compliance teams to maintain adherence to government and industry regulatory standards.

· Participate in incident management, on-call support, root cause investigations, and ongoing platform enhancements.

Qualifications for the Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Technical Leader include:

· 10+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.

· Strong expertise managing production Kubernetes environments, including EKS, AKS, GKE, or similar platforms.

· Experience supporting highly regulated cloud environments, including FedRAMP High, DoD IL5, or related frameworks.

· Hands-on knowledge of Terraform, cloud infrastructure, Linux systems, networking, and automation scripting with Python or Go.

· Experience with observability tools, CI/CD platforms, and compliance standards such as NIST 800-53, STIGs, or RMF.

Compensation for the Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Technical Leader:

· Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000
